The year marked the company’s entry into Vietnam’s tissue paper industry, laying the foundation for what would later become Stavian Tissue.

With a total investment of US$ 38 million, JP Corelex Vietnam was founded through a partnership between two renowned groups — Japan Pulp & Paper and Corelex San-ei. It was also the first FDI project by Japanese enterprises in Vietnam’s tissue paper sector.

At the time of its inauguration, the factory was recognized for possessing one of the most advanced technologies in the region, setting a new benchmark for other players in the industry.

Equipped with advanced technology, the factory officially transitioned from planning to full-scale production, establishing itself as a key market player.

Each year, it repurposes 42,000 tons of wastepaper, helping to preserve approximately 425,000 trees, save 650,000 m³ of water, and conserve 100 million kWh of electricity. This initiative significantly reduces emissions and protects valuable natural resources.

The factory transformed into Stavian Tissue, signaling a new phase of growth and market expansion.

As of now, Stavian Tissue has established its presence in Vietnam and over 50 countries worldwide. We remain ready to embrace new opportunities and challenges, as reflected in our decision to expand paper machine capacity and converting capabilities. This strategy aims to diversify our product portfolio and enhance quality for both domestic and international markets.
