Export paper and products mainly to Southest Asian countries
In the first two months of 2018, Vietnam's paper and paper products are mainly exported to South East Asian countries, accounting for 32% of total turnover.
According to preliminary statistics from the General Department of Customs, February 2018 export turnover of paper and paper products of Vietnam decreased 27.5% compared with January only reached $ 48.9 million, the first two months of the year 2018 export turnover of this group reached 116.1 million, up 38.9% over the same period in 2017.
Paper and paper products of Vietnam are mainly exported to South East Asian countries, accounting for 32% of total turnover, reaching 37.1 million USD, up 38.17% over the same period last year. Exports to EU countries decreased 45.86%, equivalent to 402.6 thousand USD.
Among the import markets for paper and paper products in Vietnam are Japan, Taiwan (Mainland China), Mainland China and the United States - these are major markets for over $ 10 million in two first month of 2018.
In particular, mainland China increased imports of paper and paper products from Vietnam, although only reached 12.3 million, but compared with the same period increased more than 3.5 times (up 253.28%). The second largest market after China was Korea, up 2.8 times (or 180.06% increase) reached 2.6 million. In addition, Vietnam exported to the Philippines also increased 142.01%, reaching $ 5.4 million.
In the opposite direction, exports of paper and paper products from Vietnam to the German market fell sharply, down 57.76% to $ 187.2 thousand.
In general, in the first two months of 2018, Vietnam's export value of paper and paper products to the markets grew by 62.5%.
